Senior Citizens

The City of Bayou La Batre is proud to offer an array of services to our local area Seniors age 60 and older.  The Bayou La Batre Senior Center is located inside the Bayou La Batre Community Center.  Each month a calendar of daily events is published with multiple activities scheduled for each day.
The Bayou La Batre Senior Center is open Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch is served daily at 11:30 a.m.

Home delivered meals are served to area residents who meet certain requirements and criteria. This program is part of the services offered by the Alabama Department of Senior Services, (ADSS) and the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) in Mobile, Alabama. Frozen meal food delivery is also an option for qualified Seniors who are not within the delivery areas of the Bayou La Batre Senior Center. For more information on Home Meal Delivery please contact Brandi Piedra directly by calling 251-824-4616.
